Fiji AggressorDiving in Fiji is an experience not to be missed. Fiji has some of the most beautiful, untouched and diverse reef ecosystems on earth. With more than 390 coral species, around 1200 fish species and five of the world's seven marine turtle species, it’s an underwater naturalist’s dream. The strong currents of the outer reefs bring nutrient rich waters from thousands of miles around, and in turn, lure in some of the most diverse life in the ocean, including everything from macro life to pelagic spectacles that defy the eye.

In Fiji, it’s all about the corals! The colors are so incredibly vibrant and the anthias so plentiful that it’s hard to ever look away. The majority of diving is done as drift dives, allowing you to cover large distances and see walls of soft corals. As the current picks up, planktivores such as beautifully colored scalefin anthias spring up off the reef in polarized schools. One of the main draws of diving Fiji are the reef scenes - they are quite spectacular! Remember to get in the current. Few other places in the world offer such an abundance of this coral, nor the wide spectrum of colos, ranging from pink, purple, orange, yellow and fiery red.

The gorgeous, lush, color-splashed images of Fiji that you see in dive publications are courtesy of a soft coral called dendronephthya. Underwater photographers will want to shoot when some current is present, making a dramatic difference in the color of underwater imagery. Together, this forms a rich pageantry of color. Around every corner is the next world class image. With little current present, the soft corals are muted, but as the current increases, they inflate with water and their color really begins to glow.

Diving with the Fiji Aggressor:
Throughout the week aboard the Fiji Aggressor (formerly Island Dancer II) guests will depart Suva to explore the reefs, bommies and walls of Nigali Pass, Wakaya, Koro and Namenalala Islands. Known as the soft coral capital, the brilliant colors on display will dazzle even the most experienced divers and photographers. Drift dives with eagle rays, mantas, turtles, sharks and giant groupers are also on the itinerary
Clownfish, pygmy seahorses, ornate ghost pipefish, and a multitude of nudibranchs bring smiles to every dive! With direct flights from several major cities worldwide, it is an easy destination to add to your dive log.

To top off the exiting diving and experience some of Fiji’s local culture, a visit to a Fijian village on one of the remote islands is arranged including a Kava ceremony and warrior dance. All guests are required to wear a traditional sulu (sarong or wrap) so either bring your own or we will gladly provide one for you!

The Fiji Aggressor appeals to those discriminating divers who prefer a smaller group and is perfectly suited for Fiji and the diving itinerary. All indoor areas are air-conditioned and each of the guest cabins feature en-suite facilities. The beautifully appointed salon has ample room for divers to view their photos and videos or to enjoy a movie on the entertainment system. The sundeck features covered and uncovered lounging and is a perfect place to relax with a book during surface intervals.

Best time to dive Fii: The rainy season in Fiji is between November to late March and typhoons/cyclone might occur during this period (but are not long lasting)However, many divers enjoy diving at this time of the year. The air and water temperatures are still very warm and on most days the rain is short lived and does not make much of an impact. This is the low season and resorts may offer much better rates and be nearly empty. This is not a reflection on the desirability of visiting Fiji, more a reflection of the vacation seasons of Aussie’s who make up much of the summer crowd. May to October is seen as the summer season and is also the peak season for tourism.
